Mick McCarthy is not interested in selling Murphy, who hit 27 goals last season and finished as the Championship's top scorer. Both teams reached the playoffs, with Middlesbrough giving the automatic spots a slightly better rattle.

In the 2013-14 season, he hit a respectable 13 goals before hitting top form last season. He was pipped to the Championship player of the season award by Middlesbrough's Patrick Bamford.
