Middlesbrough guaranteed themselves a playoff in this year's Championship with a 2-0 win against fellow promotion-hopefuls Millwall.
At the Riverside Stadium, Tony Pulis' men grabbed a goal in either half and were generally comfortable throughout.
However, in a confusing end to affairs, a certain section of home fans made their way across the pitch to seemingly taunt the visiting Millwall fans.

Many of those Middlesbrough fans who chose to remain in their seats (or depart the stadium sensibly) condemned the action of the senseless few.

Apart from the stupid fans at the end, what a day! We've made the playoffs with a game to spare!Credit to the #Boro for hitting top form when it mattered most, beating Bristol City, Derby and Millwall! Shows we've got the bottle and most importantly the momentum! Get in! #UTB

Gotta love @SkySports coverage of the Millwall match, Middlesbrough fans on the pitch, in our players faces, throwing things at the Millwall fans, causing my 7 year old to leave the stadium in tears “but the last thing we need is Millwall fans to get on the pitch!” 😡😡 #Millwall

Honestly as a Boro fan, it's actually embarrassing pitch invading and then trying to start Millwall fans whilst stood on the pitch, get off you bunch of donkeys.
