One of the maddest stories of the year has just taken another unexpected turn as Samir Nasri has become the latest high profile footballer to become named in the Mathieu Valbuena sex tape scandal.
The recent revelations are just the latest in a line of hard to believe stories revolving around French international Mathieu Valbuena and an alleged sex tape.
First there was Djibril Cisse, who was arrested and not charged.
Then there was Karim Benzema, who was arrested and charged with blackmail after admitting the offence against his international teammate.
Just as things couldn't possibly get any more batshit crazy, they have. Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has become the latest player to be named in the saga.
Reports coming out of French newspaper, Le Monde, are suggesting that Nasri played the part of intermediary between Valbuena and his mysterious blackmailers.
Particularly interesting in Valbuena's Le Monde interview is that another French football bad boy, Samir Nasri, could be involved. #MCFC

The man at the centre of the entire saga has also been speaking today for the first time since the story first broke nearly a month ago.
The minute midfielder gave an exclusive interview to Le Monde earlier today where he launched a scathing attack on Madrid striker Benzema.
Making reference to Benzema's role in the sage he said;
I can’t defend the indefensible. I wouldn’t have done this to my wortst enemy
He then went into depth over Benzema's involvement and it doesn't make for good reading for the frontman.
In the first discussions, I said to Karim : "Did you see that, Cissé had a similar situation in 2008". And he replied : 'And what, he paid up?'. I replied : 'Yes, he paid up'. He answered: 'So did the video go public?'. I told him that it didn't.
He told me on more than one occasion that blackmailers were thugs and he replied : The video is hot. I know what I would do with a family and everything…one has to be strong'. He also told me : 'If you don’t want them to go with the video, I can introduce you to my friend'. I am really disappointed. At the end of the conversation, Benzema asked me : 'What do I do? Do I give them your number? Will I give you theirs?
Valbuena went on to add that he felt betrayed and disgusted by Benzema, who he had considered to be a close friend.
I was disappointed, really disappointed. His words show a lack of respect. I respect everyone, but this story portrays me as a fool.
I am only really, really disappointed and I now realize that my relationship with Karim was not as genuine as he would have had me believe.
This story is showing no signs of slowing down and it's clearly playing on the mind of Benzema, who was awful against Barcelona last weekend.
It could be detrimental to France too heading into Euro 2016. Les Bleus have a history of controversy heading into major tournaments, and this one may be the most outrageous yet.
