EA has boasted this year as they do every year about the new skill moves that have been added to the game. Mastering new skill moves can be tough but after a little bit of practice, it proves easy enough. So we have come up with a list of the eight new skill moves in FIFA20.

1. Strafe Dribbling

Strafe dribbling can be performed by holding down L2/LT and moving the left stick in any direction. This allows you to have greater control over dribbling while keeping close control over the ball. It could be really useful when one-on-one with a defender. It could also be used for keeping the ball in tight areas or fooling defenders to charge in on you helping you create space to get passed them or to make a pass to another player.

2. Lateral Heel To Heel

This is carried out by holding L2/LT and moving the right stick left then right or right then left. This can only be done by players that have three-star skills or above. Very similar to the Ronaldo chop, the lateral heel to heel allows the player to change direction quickly and can create space to take a shot.

3. Flair Roulette

The flair roulette can be performed by holding L2/LT and rotating the right stick 180 degrees forward. It can only be carried out by players with four-star skills or more. This is an alternative to the original roulette and can be used in similar situations when trying to beat a player or when trying to set up a shot.

4. Setup Touch

The setup touch is performed by holding R1/RB and holding the right stick in any direction. This causes your player to push the ball out in front of them to have a run-up when shooting. The animation is slow though so the player is often closed down before they can get a shot away. It could be put to better use in committing an opposition defender to a tackle and then skipping past them.

5. Feint and Exit

The feint and exit can be carried out by holding L2/LT and rotating the right stick 180 degrees from left to right or vice versa and can be performed by any player with at least three-star skills. Very similar to the body feint, the feint and exit is when your player hovers their foot over the ball before accelerating forward in one motion which could be used when getting past defenders or cutting into the box past the defenders.

6. Drag Back Sombrero Flick

This can be performed by holding R1/RB and flicking the right stick backward then pressing R3. Only players with five-star skills can perform this skill. This is without a doubt the flashiest skill move on our list. It affords you another way to flick the ball over your opponent's head. It is a very difficult move to pull off but when you do pull it off it will be very satisfying.

7. Drag To Drag

This move is carried out by holding L2/LT and hitting a fake shot. This allows you to drag the ball back with a fake shot but affords you the chance to go back the way that you were originally heading. This skill is effective when you want to cut inside from the wing as defenders are very likely to believe that you are looking to cross.

8. Heel Chop Turn

The heel chop turn is performed by holding L2/LT and performing a fake shot then holding the left stick right or left to carry out a heel chop then push it in the opposite direction. It can only be pulled off by players with four-star skills or above. The double change of direction is very easy to fall for and will likely fool your opponent.
