Ranking Adidas' Away Jerseys For This Year's World Cup

Unfortunately due to a Danish disaster on the 14th of November, Ireland football fans will be looking from the outside in this summer at Russia 2018. One of the few pleasures left to us outcasts is feasting our eyes on all the new clobber released for 'the greatest show on earth'.

Today Adidas have released a glut of new away jerseys for their teams and the results are gorgeous. Here is our ranking of their collection of away jerseys for Russia 2018.

9. Argentina

Bit too much like a training jersey this one.

8. Spain

Not a bad effort, but the orange is a tad off-putting.

7. Japan

Similar to Spain's effort, this simpler design works, though it is reminiscent of United's grey away kit.

6. Sweden

A vibrant if straightforward away jersey from Sweden.

5. Mexico

This is really nice, the two bands across the middle work well.

4. Belgium

Mustard yellow for Belgium, the red and black stripes bringing it up to no. 4.

3. Russia

'Depicts an abstract vision of Russian architecture', that is according to Adidas anyway. The pattern is fresh and with the navy stripes across the shoulder completes a very stylish effort for the host nation.

2. Colombia

This is a very tidy number for the Colombians, the blue and orange work surprisingly well together with the chevron pattern down the chest making it a dead cert for no. 2.

1. Germany

Wow. Everything about this jersey is perfect. The colour, the pattern and the shoulder stripes combine to perfection to make it Adidas' best entry. Don't be surprised to see various casual fans sporting this jersey over the next few months.
