Report: Jose Mourinho Outlines His Demands For Taking Real Madrid Job

It's looking increasingly likely that Real Madrid may turn to out of work Jose Mourinho following a run of results that has left them ten points of La Liga leaders Barcelona and outside the Champions League places.

Real's surprise 2-0 home defeat by Real Sociedad at the weekend, coupled with his side's 2-2 draw away to Villarreal has piled more pressure on Santiago Solari, and the odds have been slashed on Mourinho returning to the club he managed for three seasons, winning La Liga in his second season at the club.

Sports journalist for Mundo Deportivo Francesc Aguilar has tweeted that Mourinho is willing to step into the hotseat mid-season, as long as he is guaranteed reinforcements in the January transfer window including a centre back and a goalscorer:

José Mourinho, who has just put Benfica out, has told Florentino Pérez that if it is for him, he has no problems in taking charge of the team now. Of course, he asks for reinforcements, especially in the centre of defense and a proven goalscorer.

Meanwhile, Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is not ready to give up on Mourinho joining the Portugese outfit tellingPortuguese broadcaster SIC that money is not an issue:

Who would not like to have Mourinho? If he says yes tomorrow, he’ll be here at the drop of a hat.

Benfica are without a manager since the sacking of Rui Vitoria last Friday, with Vieira stating that a successor to Vitoria will not be named until next week.
