Portugese journalist Marcus Alves thinks that Liverpool are in for Wolves player Ruben Neves. The youngster signed for Wolves last summer in a club record £15 million deal from Porto and the Lisbon based reporter has tweeted that the midfielder is headed to Anfield this summer:

"Reuben Neves coming to Liverpool. Talisca as a substitute for Wolves. The pieces are moving in the market".

The midfielder has become a vital cog in Wolves promotion to the Premier League this season. The 21-year-old has appeared 36 times in the Championship this term, scoring six goals, the standout strike being a spectacular half-volley goal against Derby a week ago.

Neves also has Champions League experience with former club Porto, having captained them in 2015, becoming the youngest player to captain a side in the Champions League at the age of 18 years and 221 days. Neves also has five caps for Portugal and in pushing for a place at this years World Cup in Russia.

Liverpool will be on the lookout for another body in midfield with Emre Can seemingly heading for an exit from the club when his current contract runs out in the summer. There is also doubt about Adam Lallana's long term fitness, with the England midfielder currently in South Africa receiving treatment on a hamstring injury. The club will have the incoming Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, but with James Milner entering the autumn of his career and the money from Philipe Coutinho's sale yet to be utilised, the Reds are sure to reinforce their midfield come the end of the season.
