Robbie Keane Beyond Ireland?

Robbie Keane Beyond Ireland?
By Donny Mahoney Updated

Make what you will of these quotes, given yesterday by Keane as he was welcomed to Upton Park.

"I have not really worried or thought about my position with the Ireland team. It is all about now and I've said before if I didn't play for Ireland and someone else came in, I have always said I would walk away."

The second sentence seems more explosive, but I think the first part is more telling. I don't think he's too worried about someone dislodging him. I don't remember him "always saying" he planned to walk away at the sight of Frank Stapleton 2.0, though.
