In an interview with Talksport earlier this week, Robbie Keane said he has had offers from clubs in England and other countries.
The two English clubs rumoured to be interested are Brighton and Preston, the latter most strongly. They are favourites with the bookies to be Keane's next employers.
In an interview with BBC Radio Lancashire on Thursday, Preston manager Simon Grayson spoke about the possibility of signing Keane.
I'm not going to dismiss it, but I'm not going to say that the interest is full on.
If Robbie Keane is available then he is a player that is going to attract a lot of interest from a lot of clubs.
Would we be interested? I'm sure every club in the Championship would be looking forward to an opportunity speak to him.
When asked if he has spoken to the 36-year-old, Grayson refused to divulge any information.

Keane, who has been without a club since leaving LA Galaxy in November, said in that Talksport interview that he would likely make a decision on his future in the next fortnight. When leaving LA Galaxy, Keane said he was ready to take on one last major challenge in club football.
Preston are currently 9th in the Championship, six points outside the playoff places.
Keane's possible arrival would add to an already strong contingent of Irish players. Even prior to the addition of Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle earlier this month, Greg Cunningham, Alan Browne, Aidan McGeady and Eoin Doyle were already at the club.
