News broke early this afternoon via RBC TV - a legitimate media outlet - that Roman Abramovich has been 'detained' in the US by the Feds.

The internet was also reporting that Mourinho was in London to sign a new Chelsea contract and that Assad had been killed by his bodyguard so take this all with a grain of salt. Still though...

UPDATE: Abramovich's press rep has said that while the Chelsea owner is in the US at the moment he has not been arrested.

The NYC FBI office has no comment to make on reports.

Meanwhile on the markets, the gossip over Abramovich's sent shares in Evraz, the steel and coal company of which Roman is the major shareholder, tumbling.

The FBI has now denied that it arrested Roman Abramovich:

The FBI has denied reports that it has arrested Roman Abramovich during the tycoon's visit to the United States.

The Bureau said the reports, published by Russian television news service RBC, were "categorically untrue".
