Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane was in flying form on Wednesday night as he expressed his disappointment in both English sides that participated in the Champions League this week.

First up were Arsenal, who Keane described as weak and suggested they were even cheating their fans with their performances in Europe, but not content with that, he went after Man City as well.

Keane also poured cold water on the idea of City winning the Champions League this year, and claimed that anybody who thinks they have a chance is in 'cuckoo land':

In the last week, you watch their performances against Liverpool, Norwich and Kiev and watching those games has been torture.

Against Kiev, you can say the hard work was done in the first leg, but there is still responsibility on the players to go and perform and when Man City are in that mood, I wouldn't go and watch them play in my back garden.

Poor attitude, you should still have a desire to go and win a game of football against Kiev. The idea that City can go and win the tournament, they are all in cuckoo land.

He certainly does have a point about the attitude in that game against Kiev, and although the side are certainly not the same without Vincent Kompany, it does not excuse the apathy that defined that performance.

That said, there must be some decent sides togging out in Roy's back garden...
