Watch: Roy Keane Cracks Up Jurgen Klopp After Reigniting Old Beef Between The Pair

Roy Keane is never one to mince his words as a pundit.

Countless players have been criticised by him down through the years, with even the best teams not exempt from a few harsh truths from the Irishman.

Of course, that doesn't always necessarily go down that well.

One famous example came during the 2020/21 season. Liverpool were after running out as 3-1 victors over Arsenal in a game at Anfield, coming back to win rather comfortably after falling behind to an early Alexandre Lacazette goal.

Roy Keane was in the Sky Sports studio that night, labelling the performance from the home side as 'sloppy'. Jurgen Klopp heard the comments while waiting to conduct his post-match interview, launching into a tirade against the pundit.

Did I hear it right, that Mr Keane said we had a sloppy performance tonight? I could hear you already, did he say that?

This was a sloppy performance tonight? Im not sure if I heard it right. It must be another game, because it cannot be this game, sorry.

That's an incredible description of this game. Nothing was sloppy, absolutely nothing. It was from the first second dominant against a team is in form, 100 per cent in form.

After the cameras cut back to the studio, Keane quipped: "Very sensitive, isn't he? Imagine he had lost."

Roy Keane reminds Jurgen Klopp of previous argument

Roy Keane was once again on punditry duties this evening for Liverpool's visit to Old Trafford, where on this occasion he was given the chance to speak to Jurgen Klopp directly.

As the German summed up his side's form so far this season, Keane couldn't resist cheekily asking if they had been a bit too 'sloppy'. The Liverpool boss certainly enjoyed the comment.

Klopp: Performance wise, I think we have played two really good games and one pretty bad game. I think [Manchester] City was good.

Keane: Have you been a bit sloppy? A little bit sloppy in those games?

Klopp: I wish we could say it was because we were sloppy!

This one past run-in aside, Roy Keane has been largely complimentary about Liverpool in recent seasons. He has been effusive in his praise for many of their players and the job Jurgen Klopp has done at the club.

In saying that, we wouldn't mind see the pair butt heads again in the future...
