Watch: Roy Keane's Analysis Of Paul Pogba Was Absolutely Spot On

Paul Pogba has a strange legacy at Manchester United.

He has shown flashes of brilliance at times, but he has also failed to deliver on many occasions. In all, he has not lived up to the sky high expectations set forth when he arrived from Juventus.

The Frenchman was supposed to be the centre of a new generation at Old Trafford, somebody who could lead them back to the peak of the domestic and European game. While the club's failure to reach those heights are far from his fault, you do sense they would be in a better position had he performed on a more consistent basis.

Roy Keane believes that Pogba will never be the main men in a top Manchester United team.

Speaking on Sky Sports this afternoon, the former United captain said that Pogba has not delivered what was expected of him at the club.

Paul Pogba is a talented player, there's no getting away from that, but I still feel he hasn't done enough at Manchester United.

He's mentioned that he's fallen out with Mourinho and that was a big problem at the club, but even the last few months and people have been saying he's a big influence. I wouldn't agree with that.

He has been playing okay and he's a good player, but I still look at some of the big crunch games United have had this year and he hasn't turned up...

I think when Manchester United signed Paul Pogba it wasn't to be playing in the Europa League or winning the League Cup. I think Paul needs a bit of a reminder why he is playing for Manchester United.

They paid a big transfer fee and big wages for the likes of him for Man United be competing for league titles and in the Champions League.

Keane went on to describe what Pogba is lacking from his game to become a truly elite player.

Not only does he need to perform more often in the big moments, but he also needs to elevate the performances of players around him. That is not something he has shown he can do since his return to Manchester.

If you're talking about world class, I think the world class players make the players around them better. I don't think he does that, I don't think he has that effect on Manchester United.

You're talking about these crunch games for Man United... I'm looking at him and going 'does he dig his team out, does he get everybody going, does he produce?'

To me the answer is still no...

Do I sit there and think if Pogba is at Manchester United, will he get them back to winning league titles? The answer is no because I don't think he makes the other players better. That's what brilliant players do, I've been fortunate enough to play with brilliant players.

I think he's a talented boy, but do I see him as that type of character to drag Man United along when they're up against it?

The evidence suggests in his few years at Manchester United he hasn't been able to do that.

With only one year left on his Manchester United contract, Pogba's time at the club could be coming to a close.

While admittedly a talented player, it's fair to say Roy Keane probably wouldn't be all that upset to see him leave.
