Trent Alexander-Arnold is rarely out of the news these days, whether it is because of his contract situation at Liverpool, his place in the England team, poor performances, brilliant performances - no matter what he does, you will see him in the back pages.
Last week the right back had a torrid time against Manchester United as he dropped one of his worst performances yet in a Liverpool jersey but he followed that up with a goal and a Man of the Match display in the FA Cup, and then had a very good game against Nottingham Forest.
The Reds sit four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand, and Trent had played most of the season apart from one stint where he was injured, but despite this, certain pundits, critics and fans, will not let go of his defensive deficiencies.
Speaking on the latest episode of Stick to Football, Roy Keane doubled down on his criticism of the Englishman.

“If Trent Alexander-Arnold goes to Real Madrid, then good luck to him – as if Madrid don’t know how to defend,' he said.
“He’s played over 300 games and played for England, but he still defends like he has never played at right back.
“He’s played all these games, and he must do training sessions, but he’s playing right back, and people go at him like he’s confused and never seen something like that before.
“Trent defends as if Liverpool have had lots of injuries, and they’ve asked him to just fill in a position.”
The Premier League and Champions League winning right back has been heavily linked with a move away to Real Madrid, but has remained tight-lipped on the situation.
“I want to be a Liverpool player this season (as a minimum) is what I will say,' he explained.
“Look, I have been at the club 20 years now, I have signed four or five contract extensions, none of those have been played out in public, and this one won’t be either.”
Whether or not the defender leaves in the summer remains to be seen, but Liverpool fans will be hoping that he plays an important part in helping the side win something this year, and keep their spot as Premier League leaders at the end of the season.
