Unless you’re a Reading fan, you’d be forgiven for not knowing where one-time Real Madrid and Everton youngster Royston Drenthe was plying his trade these days. Now 27 years old, the Dutchman seems to be enjoying life in England so much, or is so utterly bored off his tits, that he posted an open invitation to Reading fans on his Instagram account, asking for volunteers for a FIFA tournament round his place. It’s more likely, however, that he’s just stopped giving a shit since he’s been told that he can leave the Royals.
He said: “Anyone who thinks they are good at FIFA14 & is a Reading fan living in reading, like this pic & tomorrow I will choose 4 people to come to mine to play a FIFA14 tournament” (sic).
Drenthe made good on his promise and selected four lads for the occasion. He recorded events through a series of instagram posts. What a man.
