This Sky/GAA debacle just keeps running and running. One would have thought that at least RTÉ would have been able to keep out of the whole controversy – given that their TV deal was largely the same as before – but they've been dragged into it by Liam O'Neill and now are trading verbal blows over their coverage of the whole Sky story yesterday.
In case you missed it, O'Neill said he was shocked by the aggressive nature of RTÉ's questioning regarding their decision to award Sky exclusive TV rights, saying the approach by some was 'unprofessional.'
This evening, Managing Director of RTE Current Affairs, David Nally went on the Six One News to respond to O'Neill's comments.
