Plymouth beat Bolton 3-0 in League One on Tuesday night. With the home side already leading 2-0, rain began to fall heavily in the second half at Home Park.

Late in the game, the pitch had become waterlogged, and it created some chaotic conditions which led to Ryan Broom scoring a comedy third goal.

Danny Mayor nicked the ball from a Bolton throw-in on the halfway line, and knocked it ahead into a nearly deserted opposition half. Bolton goalkeeper Joel Dixon came racing out well beyond his box and was rounded by Mayor who had an open goal in front of him.

It was then that the conditions which moments earlier had favoured Mayo turned against him as the ball was held up by the rain-soaked pitch.

Ryan Hardie took over from Mayor, but he also saw the ball stall in the wet before Broom eventually fired to the roof of the net.

The best angle of the goal was captured from the stand behind Dixon's net by Plymouth fan Louis.
