Say what you want about Ryanair but at least they know when and how to hop on a good thing when they see it. Just one day after ticket applications for Euro 2016 opened, everyone's favourite budget airline have heaped in with a proverbial hangar load of flights to help out the growing demand among Irish fans.
An extra twenty one flights have been added to Ryanair's usual French itinerary (and Brussels for the game in Lille) over the course of the group stages next summer. According to Robin Kiely, a spokesperson for the airline, 'record demand' from Irish fans in the aftermath of Saturday's group stage draw led to the flights being added.
After record demand from Irish supporters, we’ve launched 21 Euro 2016 specials to and from Dublin, Cork and Shannon for Ireland’s group games in Paris, Bordeaux and Lille. Nobody wants to be like Scotland and miss out – so Ireland fans should log on to the Ryanair.com website and book these football flights before they sell out.
They're doing it for profit of course and not everyone loves their methods but, as far as we're concerned, it's a public service that needed to met and they've done just that.

Ireland vs Sweden - Stade de France, Saint Denis - June 13th
Ireland vs Belgium - Bordeaux - June 18th
Ireland vs Italy - Lille - June 22nd
For those heading to Paris for the first game, we've done a quick bit of research on the flights and the best you can currently do is €300 return flying out on the 12th and returning on the 14th. Make of that what you will but we would suggest that being the city of lights you could easily just spend the money on the flights and forget about accommodation and silliness like that.
