According to the Irish Independent, a voice we trust on the inner machinations of the Irish football team, Foley has not been dropped entirely because of his hamstring injury. Apparently Trap sees McShane as more versatile. Here's Foley on his own, presumably on the telephone, trying to explain to somebody why he won't be going to Poland.
Looks like Kevin Foley is dumped for Paul McShane because of minor problems suffered by Dunne/St Ledger. McShane can cover centre half too.
