Scott Brown is expected to extend his time at Celtic for a further two years.

The Celtic captain, who has been at Parkhead since 2007, had been linked with moves to Dubai side Al-Wasli and A-League expansion side Western Melbourne. His current deal expires this summer.

However, the Daily Record reports today that Brown is set to sign a new two-year contract at the club after talks with Celtic CEO Peter Lawwell.

Lou Sticca, a member of the consortium behind the Western Melbourne club, told the Record:

"We are delighted for Scott to extend his glorious career at Celtic.

"While we are disappointed Scott will not be joining our inaugural campaign we fully understand what Celtic means to Scott and what Scott means to Celtic."

German site Fussball Transfers report today that Celtic are set to sign Borussia Dortmund right-back Jeremy Toljan on loan until the end of the season. It's said that the deal will include an option to make the move permanent.

The 24-year-old former Germany U21 international, who joined Dortmund from Hoffenheim for €6 million in 2017, has fallen down the pecking order at the Bundesliga side.

Toljan could be a long-term replacement for Mikael Lustig who is expected to leave Celtic this summer.
