Everton picked up a vital point in the Premier League, with a last gasp Jarrad Branthwaite goal securing a fully deserved 2-2 draw against Spurs at Goodison Park.

It was a strange game, largely down to the fact that the home side trailed for the vast majority of the contest despite being the better team throughout.

Jack Harrison would cancel out Richarlison's early opener on the half hour mark, only for the Brazilian to grab his second goal of the game ten minutes later.

Everton would spend the entire second half chasing the equaliser, although they would have to wait until stoppage time before getting it.

Seamus Coleman had exchange with Spurs man after Everton goal

Seamus Coleman did not start yesterday's game, although he did come on for the final 15 minutes or so as Everton chased an equaliser. The Irishman would go on to play a major role in the goal.

After Coleman entered the box to wait for the cross from an attacking free-kick, he would exchange a few words with Spurs defender Cristian Romero. He would then force the Argentine to misjudge his headed clearance, which led to Branthwaite scoring the equaliser.

Some man.

Everton remain very much in the relegation mix despite this draw, with the club currently sitting in 18th place and a point from safety on the back of their ten-point deduction earlier in the campaign.

Having recovered from a long-term injury that kept him out for most of the first half of the season, Seamus Coleman is sure to play a big role if they are to get themselves out of that predicament over the coming months.
