Abdoulaye Doucoure's red card was the centre of attention in last night's game in between Everton and Tottenham. Everton and Ireland captain Seamus Coleman was not impressed by Harry Kane's reaction to this incident.

In the 58th minute, Doucoure received a red card for sticking his claw in Kane's eye. Although it may be very painful, the Spurs striker is accused of exaggerating what happened by throwing himself to the ground.

Pundits reactions

There was a long debate on Monday Night Football about the incident. Jamie Carragher believed he should have never fallen to the ground.

Despite admitting it was a clear dice from the Spurs striker, Gary Neville claims that it wasn't a hand Kane received in his face but a claw and it is a lot more painful:

The only thing I’ve had before is when someone puts a clasp if you like, the claw, and it goes on your eyes it does shock you. I’m not saying Harry Kane should go down, but that one there does throw you back. It is very different to a hand in the face.

Jamie Carragher believes Harry Kane's reaction was 'embarrassing' and that he didn't need to that to send off Doucoure:

He’s embarrassing himself. Why’s he gone over like that stitching someone up? Doucoure would’ve been sent off anyway.
