In a bizarre turn of events Clarence Seedorf has been sent off in Brazil playing for Botofogo because he was ordered by the referee to go off on one side of the pitch to save time, but instead he headed across the pitch to his own bench. Seedorf had also scored the winner in this game.

This is made all the more ridiculous because the former Ajax, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan man had only once before been sent off in his professional career.
