Watch: How A Two-Year-Old Shane Long Was Stopped From Going To The Pub By His Dog

TV3 celebrated their eighteenth anniversary tonight, and they did so in style: by furnishing us with one of their finest productions, ever.

Living with Lucy, a reality TV show in which Lucy Kennedy hangs out with various celebrities, and this week's guest was as good as they come: Shane Long. The show offered us the chance to have a snoop around his palatial home.

As if that was not a great enough gift, we were then furnished with this utterly brilliant story of why Shane Long keeps dogs. His current dog is called Murphy (presumably in tribute to Darryl) and his love of dogs is deep, profound, and arguably the finest Irish sporting anecdote we have ever heard.

Drink it in, because this is just....the best.
