Sheffield Wednesday owner Milan Mandaric has said he may seek permission from the FAI to speak to Roy Keane about the vacant manager's position at the club. Dave Jones was sacked by the Yorkshire club last week and an attempt to put Neil Warnock in his place fell through after Wednesday fans made their fervent opposition to that prospect clear. Paul Rowan of The Sunday Times quotes Mandaric as saying:

“If I am going to do anything with Roy I will have to call the federation and see if I can get a chance to talk to him,

“You have to go through the channels for something like that. I will probably look into that.”

“Roy took the job with Martin O’Neill so it would be difficult to move him out of there.

“I would like to look at him. He has a superb personality and won promotion with Sunderland. I am going to look at the situation"

The dream team broken up so soon?
