Levski Sofia were all set to wrap up a 27th league championship victory this weekend when they took on local rivals Slavia Sofia, but things started to go wrong around the 74th minute, when a Dimitar Vezalov own goal meant that victory for defending champions Ludogorets Razgrad over Montana would hand them the title. Levski and CSKA Sofia dominate domestic football in Bulgaria and have fans spread throughout the country. It would appear Dimo Atanasov, a midfielder for Slavia Sofia is one of them. After Slavia denied Levski the title, the club's president revealed that he had been crying in the dressing room after the match and that he would not be a Slavia player next season.
