Popular Liverpool feeder club Southampton have unveiled their new kits for the season ahead, and it is fair to say they are dividing opinion. This writer is a fan, particularly of the home strip, but that's not a widely-held opinion. Southampton have signed a deal with Under Armour and the first set of kits have not convinced everyone.
The kits were unveiled in this fancy video with the #BarRaised. The opening of the casing is eerily reminiscent of that famous scene of the opening of the briefcase in Pulp Fiction, only this time, we get to see what's stored inside:

We're fans of the Under Armour effort, but not everyone is. The secondary colour design at the top of the outfield kits led to a couple of jokes with the #BarRaised:
More like #BraRaised

Away from such caustic verbiage, the kits divided opinion:
Love the new Southampton kit. Different is good sometimes. pic.twitter.com/aChImHenRI

Really like the new @SouthamptonFC kit. Finally we won't look like a Stoke or Sunderland clone! #Southampton #Saints

That Southampton kit looks pure rugby league. Not a fan.

The new Southampton home kit is hideous 😂

We hope Shane Long approves.
