We're absolutely delighted with the form of Ipswich Town's Daryl Murphy – and his six goals in six games – but we're not too sure about his new nickname.

Stephen Hunt has been waxing lyrical about the performances of his clubmate and fellow countryman, and revealed that he has started referring to him as 'Murphlinho' because watching him lately is like watching Brazil.

Oh dear.

Speaking in the wake of Murphy's brace against Wolves, Hunt said, 'I have stopped calling him Murph and I am now referring to him as “Murphlinho” after the way he cheekily dinked that second goal over the keeper.'

Adding:

Listen, he has been top class for this club and has really come into his own over the last year or so and I think he has proven that he is a top Championship striker.

To get into double figures at this stage of the season is a great return from him and, knowing Murph as I do, he won’t rest on his laurels and he will want to continue to add to his tally.

Mick McCarthy was also full of praise for Murphy, and highlighted the improvement he has seen since his striker starting working with Terry Conor on his finishing. Hopefully he pops up with a goal or two against Scotland.

But let's not call him Murphlino. No matter what happens.
