Aston Villa are currently favourites to win The Championship for the 2017/18 season and it is easy to see why when you have Steve Bruce as your manager and a five-time Premier League-winning captain in your ranks, in none other than John Terry.

Bruce has been so impressed with the former Chelsea and England captain that he decided to give him the captain's armband for the season.

Signed because of his experience and playing capabilities of course but what has really impressed the Villa manager was not Terry's defending but the level of detail shown by the defender when he had to perform his initiation song.

Bruce recalled it in an interview with Martin Hardy in the Sunday Times today.

He even did that properly.

He only went and sussed out one of the waiters could play and went and asked him if he could play the guitar for him for his song.

Everything about him has been very impressive. That was too. It's a terrific signing.

Sometimes it is the little things make the difference but the level of professionalism shown by the former Chelsea legend about his initiation song could very well be the difference between gaining promotion to the Premier League.

There is a reason why Terry is famously known as 'Captain, leader, legend' and this particular tale recounted by Bruce would pay heed to this, (if you are a John Terry fan of course).
