Swansea's Neil Taylor's Deadline Day Move Scuppered By Wife Going Into Labour

Swansea's Neil Taylor's Deadline Day Move Scuppered By Wife Going Into Labour
By Paul Ring

It hasn't been the happiest of seasons for Welsh full back Neil Taylor. He's found himself on the fringes at Swansea with first team football becoming a rarity after being a regular in the side for the past few seasons. The salvation of a deadline day move appeared to be in the offing yesterday when Fulham came calling with a 4 million pound bid but Taylor's move to London was scuppered by his wife selfishly going into labour*.

Why on earth didn't Sky Sports News cover the delivery of the baby? With Jim White in full surgical gear gesticulating wildly at the moment of birth? It would have made for far better TV than 3 hours of talking about Scott Dann and Ian Ayre.

*We jest.
