Man Utd played out a facile 4-0 win against Reading at Old Trafford in the FA Cup third round.

Reading are playing well under Jaap Stam - they're currently third in the Championship - but were unable to resist Jose Mourinho's side on Saturday afternoon.

It was a momentous day for Wayne Rooney. He marked his first game since December 17th with a landmark goal to open the game.

Rooney is now joint all-time Man Utd top scorer with Bobby Charlton.

Despite the historic nature of the goal and game, Rooney still looked to swap shirts after the final whistle.

Though, the Reading player to whom he made the gesture, George Evans, had little interest in the offer. Evans is a former Man City youth player.

Of course, there is the possibility that Evans was under instructions not to swap shirts from team management. Also, it is January, and perhaps he felt it unwise to make the walk back to the dressing room shirtless.

Thanks to Johnny Hunt for the heads up.
