Just in case you haven't seen the 'goal of the decade' (according to Gary Lineker), here it is one more time in all its loopy, dipping glory.

It must be said that some of the hyperbole went a bit overboard. It was a cracking finish and the technique needed to catch it on the volley like that is something that not too many players could have pulled off. Nonetheless, we'll still be casting our imaginary votes for Dele Alli when the goal of the season competition comes around.

But, in reality, all that is secondary to the fact that that goal may just have pushed Leicester into the title race in earnest. Three points clear with fourteen games to go, many would say that they were already in it but the vast majority were, and still are, expecting them to drop away.

Last night was the beginning of a run of games that sees them come up against Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal. With the latter two of those games away from home, it was crucial that they got through last night's game unscathed. They did, thanks in no small part to that goal and the sheer joy that can be heard coming from the BBC Radio Leicester commentary is all that's needed to convince the doubters why it would be so great to see Claudio Ranieri's side go on to win the Premier League.
