The Day In The Market; A Transfer Round-Up.

We begin with one of the "stars" of our Euro 2012 campaign; Simon Cox who could be on the move to Blackburn Rovers. Sky Sports "understands" that West Brom and Blackburn are in talks over a deal that could be worth up to £2.5m. We here at Balls.ie are desperate for the move to go through so that Cox could join up with another of Blackburn's recruits; Leon Best and form a strikeforce that could benefit Ireland. If you can think of another reason we'd love to hear it.

We also have that rarest of things; a mega transfer that actually went through. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has upped sticks from A.C Milan and joined his teammate Thiago Silva at Paris Saint-Germain. It was rumored over the weekend that Zlatan was none too pleased about being shipped off to Paris but money talks, and petrol dollars scream. The deal is rumored to be worth roughly half our GDP and Zlatan is set to earn up an average Swedish annual salary a day. His agent Mino Rioala said of the transfer "Now Paris has another reason to be considered a city of beauty, with the arrival of Ibra" There you have it; Paris the home of Ibra and the Mona Lisa.

The other pony-talied, ludicurously over-priced striker is still a Liverpool player for now. Sam Allardyce has admitted West Ham held talks with the Merseysiders over Andy Carroll's availabilty but nothing came of it. Alan Pardew meanwhile, has admitted that he has nothing to do with Newcastle's bid to take the big man home. That's pretty much Pardew's position on every Newcastle transfer though.

Facebook's Dimitar Berbatov is still clinging on at Old Trafford. A link with West Ham came to nothing but the brilliant/crap striker's agent has said that he would run to A.C Milan if the rossineri decided to make a bid. That's saying an awful lot for Berba. Reports from Italy tonight however suggest it was United that offered Dimi to Milan and they politely declined.

United need the funds if they are to complete a deal for Brazilian "wonderkid" Lucas Moura. Sao Paulo have reportedly rejected a second bid from United of around €35m for the nineteen year-old. The deal is complicated due to a clause in Lucas' contract that entitles him to 20% cut of any transfer, and United may need to convince the youngster to give up the fee. Good luck lads.

Chelsea continue to laugh in the face of Financial Fair Play after agreeing a deal in principle for the Brazilian Oscar. Sub-editors across England rejoced at the news. The Oscar goes to Chelsea writes itself when he eventually signs while we all hope he dives to ensure more hilarous headlines. Is he any good? Well he's Brazilian and only uses one name so yes, he's ace. More transfer muppetry tommorrow.
