Argentinian football is nuts.

Completely and utterly bonkers. And this riot 'game' proves it completely. The Copa Ciudad de la Plata clash between Estudiantes and Gimnasia was abandoned after a free-for-all fight broke out.

This flying kick to the head from Uruguayan international Alvaro Pereira wasn't even the catalyst to the violence either, but it proved that there was a nasty undercurrent to the game. Pereira even has the cheek to wag his finger at the completely correct decision to send him off:

Then the game descended into farce, with a full scale over 30 man fight between the sides. Now, if we've seen any fights in the GAA from before 2000, or seen the French rugby players beat the crap out of themselves, will think that some of the attempted punches look more like slaps - but the sly kicks to players prone on the ground shows the intent to harm.
