The new Everton away keeper's jersey - as modeled by Tim Howard - has raised a lot of guffaws and will surely be the subject of bad social media humour after he lets in his first own goal next season. While many people see the jersey as Howard's attempt to disappear into the bucolic environs of a football ground, we see it as a bold and not welcome salute to the Nato troops fighting imperial wars in Afghanistan.
