Reports: Liverpool Eye Ex-Player, PSG Want Everton Midfielder
By Eoin Lyons Updated

At the midway stage of the January transfer window, the rumour mill is in full swing, with  Everton defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye looking set to leave the Merseyside club for Ligue 1 club PSG.

L'Equipe are reporting that the Ligue 1 champions have hired agent Pini Zahavi to broker a deal between the clubs.

Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure has also expressed his interest in a move to Thomas Tuchel's side, revealing on French TV station Canal Plus that he feels that a move is imminent for him:

I think I am going to leave Watford. The club know my ambitions and want to help me get to the next level.

I'm flattered by the interest of PSG but for the moment there's nothing concrete. I will focus on my performance for my club. I've not had contact with PSG and they've not contacted Watford.

My goal is to play well for Watford and then maybe join a Champions League team.

Staying in England is a possibility and the Italian league is becoming more interesting. There are clubs who have returned to show interest in me again.

With West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic seemingly destined for a move to China, the Hammers are reportedly looking to Bournemouth's Callum Wilson to replace the Austrian.

Wilson has been a wanted man in this window, with Chelsea also mooted with an interest in the 26-year-old England international.

Real Madrid are interested in signing Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek, according to Cadena SER. The 23-year-old Polish attacker has been in flying form since moving to Italy last summer.

Ajax midfielder Frenkie De Jong is on the cusp of a move to PSG, at least according to Spanish publication AS,  with a fee of around €75 million quoted for the 21-year-old midfielder.

Aaron Ramsey has completed a medical ahead of a proposed move to Juventus. The Welsh international is set to sign a five year deal with the Bianconeri, joining up with the Serie A side at the end of the season.
