Ipswich Town coach Matthew Gill says he's been impressed with Troy Parrott during his time with the club.

Parrott joined the League One side on loan from Spurs last month after a disappointing period in the Championship with Millwall. The 19-year-old has started seven games thus far.

Though he is yet to score, he did win a penalty in the 2-1 victory over Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

Following the departure of Paul Lambert as manager, Gill took temporary charge for that game. Paul Cook has since been appointed manager.

"I'm desperate for Troy to get a goal but he's done so well for us," Gill told the Ipswich Town club website.

"His work rate is absolutely fantastic and the quality is there for everyone to see.

"I was really impressed with his performance again and he probably covered more ground than anyone.

"He works for the team which is great to see and can drop in deep but he also has quality when on the ball and around the box."
