Twitter Renews Your Faith In Humanity By Coming To The Aid Of A Young Everton Fan

Sometimes it's easy to think that social media is full of negativity and endless trolling from all walks of life - including sports fans.

But sometimes social media does something that will renew your faith in people. Everton fan Dan and his son Alfie were looking forward to travelling to Wembley to see Everton in their semi-final with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

But unfortunately their coach that would take them to London never showed up:

Then the power of social media kicked in as they were headed for home, defeated. Offers to get them to Wembley poured in, and it soon became apparent that their tickets were with the coach and they couldn't get into the game even if they got there.

Offers for lifts to London came from everywhere, as were spare tickets. Eventually, Virgin Trains got them sorted and they were on their way:

And eventually they got some tickets. Their story got to the official Everton account, and Alfie looks like he's going to have a great day:

It doesn't stop there either - because boxer Tony Bellew invited them to join him in Goodison Park next week too:
