Vincent Tan Is Outraged About Wigan Appointing Malky Mackay
By Conor Neville

Vincent Tan still doesn't like Malky Mackay. And now he doesn't like Dave Whelan either.

Whelan, doing an uncanny impression of a unfashionable north of England comedian trying to defend his act on Channel 4 News, denied saying that Jews chase money more than anyone else, noting that they love money in the same way the English do.

He has also been quoted as saying that 'if an Englishman says that he has never called an Chinese man a 'chink', then he is lying.'

Whelan later apologised for the remarks saying he didn't intend it as an insult saying the Jews resemble the English in their determination to 'work hard and get money'. He described the Jews as a 'great race of people' and professed to have thousands of Jewish friends.

Tan was forthright when the issue was put to him.

This is a racist chairman hiring a racist manager. I hope that stops at two racists in Wigan, not snowballing to 2,000 or 20,000 racists in Wigan.

He questioned whether both Whelan and Mackay are fit and proper persons to be involved in football clubs.

The fact is he's a leader of a big football club, he's sending the wrong message to the followers and supporters in the club, he's telling them it's all right to be a racist.

Do you think that is proper? So I am asking whether he is fit and proper to be chairman of a football club in the UK for what he has said.
