The Class of 92 took on their employees, Salford United FC, and gave their charges a timely confidence boost, sportingly getting spanked 5-1. It wasn't a totally inglorious night as the least rusty of the 92 brigade, Ryan Giggs executed this Panenka penalty.
Robbie Savage went up front (and was replaced by Jack Whitehall before the end), Raimond Van Der Gouw, Mikel Silvestre, John O'Kane, Quinton Fortune, Ben Thornley and David May all featured.
Keith Gillespie again didn't get a look-in.
However, by far the most memorable event of the night occurred when a clothed pitch invader hurled himself at the crossbar during the game and had to wrenched off it very forcibly by the security people. (H-T: Marty Cassells)
