Cristiano Ronaldo has been named winner of the 2014 Ballon D'Or.

Ronaldo accepted his award at the FIFA ceremony in Zurich after claiming 37.66% of the votes ahead of Leo Messi and Manuel Neuer.

Once the ceremony had finished, FIFA released a PDF containing the voting, which is done by the manager and captain of every FIFA registered nation as well selected media, and as always, there were some mental votes in there.

Lets start with Ireland, and here is how Robbie Keane and Martin O'Neill voted:

Martin O'Neill: 1) Cristiano Ronaldo, 2)Lionel Messi, 3) Diego Costa.
Robbie Keane: 1) Cristiano Ronaldo, 2) Lionel Messi, 3) Gareth Bale.

So no love for the keeper from the boys representing the boys in green, but at least both got the first two spot on. O'Neill clearly fancied what Costa did for Atletico last season, while Robbie gave a nod to Gareth Bale of Wales.

Next up is easily the most controversial selection, from England boss Roy Hodgson:

Roy Hodgson: 1) Javier Mascherano, 2) Phillip Lahm, 3) Manuel Neuer.

What are you on Roy? No Ronaldo or Messi in the top three, and he's picked Barcelona's Javier Mascherano as the best player in the World.

Here are a collection of the more interesting votes from some of the biggest names in the football world to see who they thought deserved to be named Ballon D'Or winner:

Lionel Messi: 1) Angel Di Maria, 2) Andres Iniesta, 3) Javier Mascherano.
Radamel Falcao: 1) James Rodriguez, 2) Cristiano Ronaldo, 3) Angel Di Maria.
Wayne Rooney: 1) Cristiano Ronaldo, 2) Toni Kroos, 3) Gareth Bale.
Bastian Schweinsteiger: 1) Manuel Neuer, 2) Phillip Lahm, 3) Thomas Muller.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 1) Sergio Ramos, 2) Gareth Bale, 3) Karim Benzema.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 1) Zlatan, 2) Zlatan, 3) Zlatan. 1) Lionel Messi, 2, Manuel Neuer, 3) Cristiano Ronaldo.
Didier Deschamps: 1) Cristiano Ronaldo, 2) Manuel Neuer, 3) Karim Benzema.
Joachim Löw: 1) Manuel Neuer, 2) Phillip Lahm, 3) Bastian Schewinsteiger.
Antonio Conte: 1) Cristiano Ronaldo, 2) Lionel Messi, 3) Manuel Neuer.
Guus Hiddink: 1) Arjen Robben, 2) Thomas Muller, 3) Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jurgen Klinsmann: 1)Manuel Neuer, 2) Cristiano Ronaldo, 3) Arjen Robben.

Good to see that national bias is alive and well for most.
