Football brings the best out of people sometimes, but this young Portuguese fan goes above and beyond.
For all of the nastiness we saw in the early rounds with rioting and flares, there was a hell of a lot of amazing fans in the Euros - starting with Ireland, taken on by everyone else - with this young Portuguese fan winning probably the fan of the tournament.

The young lad, who can't be more than 12 - takes time out in the Paris fan zone to console a clearly distraught French supporter. I don't know any 12-year-old who would have any thought in his mind to do something like that - I know I would only have been thinking of myself at that age.
It's an amazing gesture.
