Watch: Aaron Connolly Scores Opener For Brighton Then Goes Off Injured
By Sean Meehan

Ireland international Aaron Connolly endured an eventful opening half in Brighton's clash against Wolves, scoring the opening goal of the game before going off at the stroke of half-time.

The Seagulls started the game with a verve and swagger that had been missing from their home performances in the Premier League.

They took the lead in the 13th minute through the boot of the Ireland international. A brilliant run out of defence from Adam Webster fed Leandro Trossard on the right-wing.

The Belgian managed to eek out a good cross, with Connolly acting as poacher supreme to steal in ahead of Rui Patricio to score the opener.

That was to be as good as it got for Brighton and Connolly in the first half, with Wolves dominating the remainder of the half.

Roman Saiss restored parity with a powerful header, before a Lewis Dunk own goal and Ruben Neves penalty gave Wolves a 3-1 lead going into the half.

Following the penalty, Connolly was feeling the back of his leg with a potential hamstring injury, with the striker having issues with the muscle before.

The Galway native went straight down the tunnel before the half-time whistle, and was replaced at half-time by Andi Zeqiri.
