This animosity is probably best represented in a leaked clip of Alan Shearer in the BBC studio in the aftermath of England's penalty shootout win.
The former England international was jubilant in the wake of Gareth Southgate's triumph, but also had a few choice words for the Colombian team:
We don't even care. Run it however way you want and we'll just talk about it. Who gives a shit? We'll just smile and be happy and say well done lads, Colombia you cheating, robbing... fucking.
