It's not until March, but with Ireland in a superb position in World cup qualifying, the visit of Wales next year is already being treated with a decent level of anticipation.

Despite Wales' superior showing at the Euros, they have made a stodgy start to qualification: they've won just once: a 4-0 thrashing of Moldova. In total, they've gathered six points: four fewer than table-toppers Ireland.

Manager Chris Coleman joined Jamie Carragher on Monday Night Football tonight, and in analysing Chelsea's new formation under Antonio Conte, Coleman explained why his Wales side line out as they do.

Wales, like Chelsea, play three at the back, with Coleman offering his reasoning for lining out as they do.
