Derby County have offered the perfect response to being drubbed 3-0 in the first leg of the Championship Playoff semi-final against Hull City by making things extremely interesting in the first half of the return leg.

Two goals before half-time saw the Rams 0-2 up on the night and trailing 3-2 on aggregate, making a proper game of what most thought would be a routine night for Hull.

Ireland right-back Cyrus Christie gave us a glimpse as to why he won Derby's young player of the year award this season as he made the first goal happen with a fantastic run and an excellent cross, eventually finished off by Johnny Russell:
