Manchester City have turned into an incredible side under Pep Guardiola. They won the Premier League with a record breaking 100 points last season, probably the most dominant campaign from any team in the history of the league. Despite Liverpool producing record breaking point tallies this season, they have an excellent chance of retaining their crown.

However, their European pedigree has yet to reach the same heights. They fell to Jurgen Klopp's side in the quarter final of the Champions League last year, while last night they lost the first leg of their tie with Spurs 1-0.

While Guardiola's impact has been undeniable, it has not been enough for one City fan. The disgruntled supporter called talkSPORT to say he has had enough of the Spaniard's failures in Europe, and would like to see him replaced by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

I want Pep out. We need a Champions League, we've won everything else...

I think Ancelotti, or even Klopp, he's proven in going to Champions League finals. I'd take Klopp at City any day. If Klopp had this City team, he would win the Champions League.

He received some pushback from presenter Andy Goldstein, who questioned why Klopp would carry the team further.

Presenter: He had his own team and he lost.

Caller: Sorry?

Presenter: He had his own team and he lost?

Caller: Exactly, he didn't have this Man City team.

Presenter: Who bought that Man City team?

Caller: Pep, but that's not the point. Money doesn't buy you Champions Leagues.

When Goldstein and Cundy became amused by the City fan's argument, it did not go down well.

It's not a laughing matter, stop laughing at me! It's not a laughing matter, please listen to me. If Klopp had this Manchester City team, he would win the Champions League...

Pep is brilliant in the league, I can't doubt it. But in the Champions League, he's a flop, he's a bottle job. I can take Pep Guardiola's job right now and buy a bunch of players, it's not hard...

We've won everything, we don't have the Champions League, we need the Champions League. It's the one trophy I would die for, at night I think about the Cahmpions League.

We won the Premier League, it's not fun anymore! The Premier League is too easy!

Too easy indeed, despite the fact they currently trail Liverpool in the Premier League table. You couldn't make it up.
