A side that routinely takes points from our rivals while also managing to lose both fixtures against us in a qualifying campaign, Georgia will have kicked off against Serbia on Friday afternoon knowing that they absolutely needed a win against Serbia to have any sort of sliver of a chance at qualifying... And also that any result will be a massive boost for Ireland.
In the last campaign their win away to Scotland pretty much pushed us to France, and tonight they're at it again as they have taken the lead at home to Serbia.
As much as we're thanking Georgia, it's really Aleksander Kolarov who is largely responsible as he shat the bed after a nervy passage of play from the Serbians and gifted the hosts a goal.
An extremely tidy finish, Nika Katcharava could be adding his name to the Gary McKay Hall Of Fame if Georgia can hang on.
IF, Georgia can hang on. A loss for Serbia would be massive, a point would be just lovely, hopefully Serbia don't show the type of fight they showed after conceding an early goal against Ireland.
