Watch: Ian Wright Has Had Enough Of 'Miniature Doorman' Danny Murphy's Opinion

Danny Murphy has cemented his place in the MOTD first team judging by the punditry lineups we've seen so far this season, but the former Liverpool midfielder is not everybody's cup of tea.

We were absolutely furious with him dismissing Roy Keane as an option for MOTD's best ever Premier League XI, and on any given week you'll find a section of people, typically fans of one of the clubs he has given stick to, who are very upset with something he has had to say.

This week, and last week too in all honesty, it was the Arsenal fans who were absolutely sick of the sight of Murphy, and there are few Arsenal fans bigger than Ian Wright. Also an MOTD commentator, Wright was speaking on Radio 5 Live when host Mark Chapman tried to raise a point that Murphy had made, and the Arsenal legend was having none of it.

He then went on to describe Murphy as a 'miniature doorman' and as having a 'menacing face'.

Going back to Danny Murphy, he just looks like a little... Miniature doorman.

Hearing so much about Danny Murphy at the moment, he's getting on my nerves if you ask me.

A miniature doorman, of course he is, he's not a big doorman is he? But he has got a menacing looking face.

When you've got Chris Sutton in stitches, you know you're on to something.

Wright was joking obviously as he gets on fine with his colleague in punditry, but that is an outstanding way to describe Murphy who does look like a bouncer that isn't big enough to be a bouncer.

Any doubts over the 'menacing face' comment can also be dismissed by this clip from MOTD 2 last week where they mocked Murphy for a photo that was actually used on the BBC Sport website.

Menacing indeed.

The show continued to get worse for Wright, who had a mini-breakdown upon hearing the news that Liverpool were in for Thomas Lamar, who had been a target for Arsenal all summer.

Fair play to Ian Wright, he's always entertaining, even when the team he loves takes an embarrassing battering and he has to talk about it publicly.

We're hoping Danny Murphy responds.
