In the event that you are tiring ever so slightly of watching James McClean's winner against Wales over and over again, fear not! - there is now an alternative angle.

Before they carried last week's announcement that Martin O'Neill was set to extend his contract, few people may have paid much attention to FAI TV (more still may simply never have heard of it).

Well, with a camera perched somewhere in the upper reaches of the Cardiff City Stadium, they have today released footage of McClean's crucial goal from a fascinating angle.

Understandably, given it's distance from McClean himself as he strikes the ball, this is not necessarily the angle from which you want to watch the goal itself.

However, there are a few things you really ought to keep an eye out for - it may take you a few restarts:

Martin O'Neill & Roy Keane celebrating the goal:

While O'Neill's celebratory jump is now part and parcel of almost every Irish goal, there is something about him hitting the air in tandem with the crowd that is quite compelling. Perched on the edge of his technical area as McClean takes one of Ireland's very few chances, O'Neill has scarcely touched the ground again before Keane and the rest of the Irish bench are up and about.

Just how quickly Jeff Hendrick got to Ashley Williams:

Cleverly anticipating where Wayne Hennessy seems most comfortable dispensing with the ball, Hendrick is running at Williams a good 3 second before the Welshman even receives the ball. Looking that little bit too casual, Hendrick forces the man Everton paid £12 million into a very costly mistake. The speed with Hendricks reacts is a thing to behold.

The stoic linesman who judged the ball not to have gone out:

I think most of those watching this series of events play out in real time could not really believe that the ball Hendrick's touched down the line managed to stay in; it just looked certain to have gone out. Yet, on Hendrick went, and, well, you know how that ends. Desperate to make a case to the contrary, one Wales substitute warming up as the goal went in was at pains to express his annoyance at the linesman. However, his refusal to react whatsoever is pretty impressive.
